Pink handmade paper flower wall hanging

Paper Wall Hanging Ideas for Home Decor (Handmade, India)

ByCrafted by Ann

A handmade paper wall hanging is one of the simplest ways to brighten a plain wall. It is light, easy to hang and does not need drilling into tiles or stone. Here are ideas for where and how to use one, with handmade options from Crafted by Ann.

Handmade paper wall hangings

  • Pink Paper Flower Wall Hanging (₹449): bright pink flowers shaped by hand from paper and other craft materials, with reused or upcycled materials where suitable. Custom colours on WhatsApp.
  • Tree of Life Wall Hanging (₹699): a Tree of Life crafted from upcycled newspaper and eco-friendly materials, light and easy to hang.

Where a paper wall hanging works best

  • Above a bed or sofa: the most common spot, and the hanging becomes the focal point of the room.
  • A study or work corner: a cheerful touch above a desk.
  • A pooja corner: flowers suit a prayer space, especially during festivals.
  • A baby’s or child’s room: soft pink flowers fit a nursery; hang it well out of reach.
  • An entrance or passage wall: a welcoming first impression for guests.

Styling tips

  • Pick one colour from the room, such as a cushion or curtain, and choose the hanging to match. Custom colours are available.
  • Give it space. A plain wall around the hanging makes it stand out.
  • Light it softly. A fairy light string or a warm lamp nearby makes paper flowers glow in the evening.
  • Pair it with other handmade pieces, like a crochet tissue box cover (₹399) on a side table.

Festive decor

Paper flowers are a festive favourite. For Diwali, combine a wall hanging with diyas and rangoli, or give the Home Decor Gift Set (₹848) with a wall hanging and a crochet tissue box cover. More ideas are in our Diwali gift ideas and housewarming gift ideas.

Caring for paper decor

Hang it indoors, away from moisture and strong direct sunlight so the colours stay bright, and dust it gently with a soft dry brush.
